Independent marching ensembles for youth and young adults.
Our mission is to provide learning and performance opportunities for youth and young adults that develop their character, leadership skills, artistry, musical ability, and selflessness.
Additionally, Horizon Arts strives to build a tradition of excellence that the organization will come to be known for; to appropriately represent the state of Utah and the performing arts nationally and worldwide; and to stimulate interest in the study and teaching of music and the arts.
About
A Bit of Background
Horizon Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. It is the parent organization of Horizon Percussion and Horizon Winter Guard.
Founded in 2019, Horizon Percussion was created to provided students additional opportunities to perform with an indoor percussion ensemble. Currently in the Independent A division, they compete in the Winter Guard International (WGI) and the Intermountain Percussion Association (IMPA) circuits. After their second year in competition, they were WGI finalists and first in their IMPA division.
Horizon Percussion is under the direction of Joshua Hendley.
